The Well-Worn Path

wagon wheel

The well-worn path guides the way

Its deep grooves establish the course

Providing safety and comfort

But does it truly head in the right direction

Or is it simply a road built on perceived expectations?

What once brought joy now seems more a burden

As we grind our way through the familiar routine

Trapped in the wheel ruts of our own making

Simply going through the motions.

Perhaps the time has come to muster the strength

To push the cart out of the those ruts

To forge a new path

To explore what lies beyond the familiar grooves.
